I'm Maggie--a wife, mother and teacher from Iowa. My husband, Arron, and I have been married almost a year (married 10/10/10!) and have a 4 month old son, AJ. When I got pregnant, I knew that having a child would be expensive, so I decided I should find some ways to save us some money so we don't go totally broke. We are both teachers after all, so it's not like we're rolling in money!
I found an awesome board on BabyCenter Community called Coupon Newbies where I learned most of my tricks, so if you are interested in learning how to coupon, then you should check it out--especially if you're a mother! The ladies on the board are awesome and I definitely would not have figured all this out without them.
Now that I have figured out the basics of it, I am really seeing my savings. I'm to the point that I'm paying little to nothing for things like diapers, formula, health, personal care and beauty products! If you know me in real life, you've seen some of my deals on Facebook. Because several people have asked me about how I do it, I thought I'd start a blog to help people out. Plus, I will be able to keep track of my own spending better and see how much I'm really saving.
